Online Symposium - March 22, 2013

More than 100 scientists, artists, academics and activists from 5 continents will present innovative and informative presentations and performances in the second edition of Waterwheel World Water Day Symposium. The symposium is an exchange between people who are concerned with water issues, for a better sharing of knowledge, perspectives and governance. It aims to raise awareness of and inform a wide audience as well as foster relationships between research, professions and the arts, and partnerships between universities, organisations and society in the field of water and land management.

3WDS13 - Sea 1, one hour, with Jennifer Koney, Lauren Elder, Kim Anno -- 3 artists involved in "Sea Change," a multi-disciplinary exhibit, will provide an overview of its importance as a way to present sea level rise to a broad public that will be directly affected in the not-too-distant future. The sea level rise (SLR) study area extends along the East Shore of San Francisco Bay from Emeryville (mid-Bay) to Fremont (South Bay).
